A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
THE PAST... After graduating in 2001 from the Edinburgh College of Art with a BA (Hons) in Exhibition and Theatre Design, Chris began working as a Scenic Artist and Production Designer for many of the major theatres in Scotland (including The Royal Lyceum, The Traverse, Tramway and Perth Theatre) and World Art Media Television in Edinburgh. Chris spent the following few years also working as a successful Exhibition Designer, initially in Scotland and then for the National Museums Liverpool, were he designed, amongst other things, the Award Winning Big Art for Little Artists exhibition at The National Walker Art Gallery and The Magical History Tour at The Albert Dock's Mersey Maritime Museum. Over the past six years Chris has worked on numerous commercials, features and short films as a Concept Designer, Storyboard Artist and Graphic Designer. During that time he has been fortunate to work with some wonderful directors, producers and writers both in the UK and America. While working with Mobstar Media, Chris collaborated on a number of mobile and TV projects as well creating and developing mobile content for brands such as BBC Radio, iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, T-Mobile, Sony Ericsson and Samsung.
THE PRESENT... Now predominately freelance, working on feature film and commercial storyboards and concept designs, Chris has also began work on a number of graphic and motion graphic novels and regularly produces festival and marketing Posters, Brochures and One Sheets for several film sales agents.. In addition, he is currently in development and pre-production with several feature films with the new film studio, 7th Dimension Studios.
And THE FUTURE... Chris is currently developing several projects including feature films and graphic novels, and hopes to be working on several upcoming films as production designer, storyboard or concept artist respectively.
