The Lost Commando Raid
BBC WW2 DOCUMENTARY - Graphic Novel Animatic Artwork
During the interviews and first hand accounts of the Lost Commando Raid, the Director wanted to have graphic novel style animatics to depict the story elements as they were told.
Therefore, after I broke down the story elements and drew up a list of pages and cells that best gave the visual narrative that was required. After the Director was happy with what was proposed, the cells were inked, coloured and finalised.
Once approved I submitted the layered artwork to the After Effects artist to create the animatics for the edit.
