CREATING STORYBOARD ARTWORK FOR FILM, TELEVISION AND COMMERCIALS
Over the past six years I have worked on numerous features and short films as a Storyboard Artist, where I have illustrated the script/narrative, planned shots, and drawn panels to demonstrate action and maintain continuity between scenes. I also, when required, revised and updated the storyboards to reflect an altered script or comments from the client (Director, Producer etc).
I have been fortunate to work with some wonderful independent and commercial directors, producers and writers. This has exposed me to many different styles and approaches to filmmaking and therefore I have become adaptable in my style and working methods. This has also given me the essential understanding of narrative storytelling and how vital collaboration is between director, producer, DoP, editor and storyboard artist.
I am able to tell a excellent narrative story, with a good understanding of layout, composition, sequential drawing and editing. I have worked independently and as part of a team and through my years of experience in design I am able to take direction and prepared to make changes to my work, even if that means starting over again from scratch. I have prepared storyboards for production that included indications of dialogue, character performance and camera moves. I have taken quite strict direction for a storyboard, as well as being required to produce sequence ideas if the director is unsure of the approach to take.
